Vicki was ordained to the diaconate in 1987 in the Diocese of Milwaukee and holds a B.A. in History from Southern Methodist University and a M.Div. from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary.

Before moving to Maine, she served as a deacon in the Dioceses of Milwaukee, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C., primarily in parish ministry, vocational discernment and religious publishing.

Vicki was the managing editor of Cowley Publications during the 1990s and helped to develop the New Church’s Teaching Series. She has continued to edit, design, and write books with Church Publishing and other Episcopal publishers since she left Cowley in 2001.

Vicki is the author of three books in a series for people who wish to learn more about the Episcopal Church: Welcome to the Church Year, Welcome to the Book of Common Prayer and Welcome to the Bible. She also selects and posts the daily spirituality readings for the Speaking to the Soul section of the Episcopal Cafe website.

Vicki loves living in Maine with her family, where they enjoy kayaking, hiking, meeting new friends and exploring new places.
