As Interim Rector and a newcomer myself, I can attest to the warmth and openness of this wonderful and historic parish. Located just about an hour up the coast from Portland on the banks of the Damariscotta River in Newcastle just across the bridge from Damariscotta, St. Andrew’s is blessed with the hospitality, charm, and vigor characteristic of midcoast Maine. The people at St. Andrew’s are bright, inquisitive, and vital, as eager to be faithful Episcopalians as they are to welcome all comers into their midst.
