Help Wanted/Offered

“We, being many, are one in Christ.”
Sometimes we need a hand, and sometimes
we are the ones with hands to help. St. Andrew’s
Help Wanted, Help Offered is a new way to
help us connect one with another. If you have any
questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact:
Sally Johns 563-5946 or vmes@lincoln.midcoast.com

Volunteer Opportunity:
St. Andrew’s joins an area-wide collaborative to feed those in need in
our community. Community suppers are served every Wednesday
evening at 5 p.m. in the lower level of the 2nd Congregational Church
in Newcastle. Currently St. Andrew’s volunteers are responsible for
preparing and serving a meal to approximately 30-40 people on the
4th Wednesday of every month. $100 a month allocated to cover the
cost of this service. Food donations are always welcome. A team of
five (5) volunteers each month is ideal. Your participation will be
greatly appreciated . It is both rewarding and fun! Please see the sign
-up sheet on the bulletin board in St. Andrew’s library or for more information
and questions contact:
Christopher Rice tcr@midcoast.com
Margaret Spratt maspratt@gmail.com

The Lay Pastoral Committee has prepared a volunteer response
to some of the needs in our parish community. Anyone in need of a ride or a meal need only call
the Church office, 563-3533, and leave a message. You will be contacted by one of our volunteers to arrange the details. No request is a burden – there are sixteen people ready and
willing to assist times of need. Please know that we
care. Please know that we are willing and able to help. Please call us.
Art For Outreach:
2009 will mark the 10th year that St. Andrew’s has held the Art for
Outreach event. I have chaired it for the past 2 years and plan to do it
again this year. I would like to find someone (or ones) who would be
interested in working with me this summer and taking over in 2010.
