“The church cannot function at its best to the Glory of God without a loyal, devoted, loving Altar Guild.  These loving servants, in their essential ministry, are truly servants of the servants of God.”

In general terms, the duty of the Altar Guild is to prepare all things necessary for the celebration of the Eucharist or any of the other sacraments and offices of the church. This includes the changing and cleaning of linens, as needed, making sure the sacristy is stocked with bread, wine and other necessities; and the candles are full for each service. This is all done under the direction of the Rector.
